Hannover, 11 July 2019 – Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles (VWCV) has delivered 259,400 Transporter, Caddy, Amarok and Crafter models to customers all over the world from January until June. This is exactly at the same high level of the previous year’s period (0.0 per cent). With 182,800 deliveries to customers in Western Europe, last year’s deliveries were exceeded in the most important regions by
1.4 per cent.
Hannover/Hamburg, 11 July 2019 Today, with the support of the start-up accelerator betahausX, Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles and Hermes Europe are launching the Future Logistics Challenge. As part of a contest over roughly four months, the aim is to generate the best possible synergies between parcel logistics, the automotive sector and start-ups to find innovative solutions for the ecosystem of “vehicle – parcel delivery courier”. From 11 July to 23 September 2019, start-ups from all over Europe are being called on to apply with ideas that redefine the categories of “Delivery Driver Experience” and “Smart Delivery Vehicle” and thus support the work of tens of thousands of parcel delivery operatives all over Europe and make them more efficient.

Hanover, 2 July 2019 - Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles presents the first sketches and information on the new California 6.1. The update for the camper van covers many aspects: the interior of the camper van has been enhanced; the multifunctional camper control unit in the roof console has been redesigned and digitalised, new assistance systems enhance safety and comfort; a new generation of infotainment with integrated eSIM opens up the world of mobile online services, and digital instruments are available for the first time (“Digital Cockpit”). Hannover, 27 June 2019 – Stephan Weil, Minister President of Lower Saxony, visited the Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles (VWCV) site in Hannover today to find out about the most important topics for the brand in future. His visit to the factory focused on autonomous driving, electric mobility, digitalisation, transformation and new business models. Together with further board members, Dr Thomas Sedran, Chairman of the VWCV Brand Board of Management, explained strategies, future areas of business and technical innovations.
Hannover, 26 June 2019 – Silja Pieh, previously CFO and Head of Product at Autonomous Intelligent Driving GmbH (AID / a subsidiary of AUDI AG) is to become the new Head of Strategy for the Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles brand (VWCV) with effect from 1 August. At the same time, she will be assuming responsibility for the newly created function of Overall Strategy and Business Unit Development MaaS/TaaS* within the Volkswagen Group. In the VWCV Strategy Function, she will be succeeding Dr Lars Krause, who continues to be responsible for the main duties of product management and product strategy while additionally taking over management of the vehicle projects with Ford for the VWCV brand.
Hannover, 13 June 2019 – Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles (VWCV) has delivered 215,000 vehicles of the Caddy, Transporter, Amarok and Crafter series to customers all over the world from January until May. Compared to the same period last year, this corresponds to a plus of 2.4 per cent. The largest sales region was Western Europe with 151,800 vehicles
(+4.7 per cent).
Hannover, 16 May 2019 – Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles (VWCV) has delivered 170,000 vehicles worldwide from January until April. Compared to the same period last year, this corresponds to a plus of 5.4 per cent. The largest sales region was Western Europe with 119,500 vehicles (+7.6 per cent).
